瓦羅從未翻譯過古羅馬詩歌。也不喜歡這種題材。若不是赫拉迪烏斯同志在瓦羅-阿梨耶輸羅的豆瓣上發帖。還不會去接觸。下面是瓦羅的翻譯。詞不達意請諸位通人一起斧正。

翻译诗歌对我来说太困难了，于是贴上这段的英文翻译供瓦罗大大参考，有许些地方好像和瓦罗大大的理解有出入——这些古代的文本如果没有注释（或者其他背景什么的），实在太难理解了……

儘管自己拉丁文水平不高。但是翻譯的損耗是肯定的。如果看英文版和德文版也是有出入。所以直接看拉丁文最穩妥。
友情提醒。凡是古羅馬人寫的書。從英文翻譯過來的儘量不要購買。王煥生就是直接從拉丁文翻譯。這點欣賞。

英译只是用来对照的，看看别人对同一句话如何理解。我一般喜欢原文和其他语言的对照本。只是自己理解，恐怕更会有错。吸取前人的经验，再加入自己对原文的理解，我认为这样才比较稳妥。
